Song maps – No.1

Luckily we used Google Maps to make this infographic based on the journey undertaken in a famous song. Can you guess which one? Sorry, no prizes but more silly song maps on the way…

Perfumed planes for Penhaligon’s

It’s not every day you get paid to make paper aeroplanes! But Frank recently created a fragrant squadron as part of Penhaligon’s in-store promotion for Father’s Day. So, once impregnated with manly scent, these dashing flyers were attached to the wrist and flown under the nose of passing shoppers in order to tempt them into a purchase for pater! And we also created banners to promote the campaign online.

No. 3 breakfast with tea and toast

Nigel is modelling our recent t-shirt homage to the now defunct Rossi Cafe in Hanbury Street. The image depicted was the Frank lunchtime staple for many a year… a No. 3 breakfast with tea and toast! You can get one (and choose the shirt colour) in our latest T-Shop »

Say it with flowers

Frank’s passion for vintage ephemera was put into use recently on a project for fine perfumers Penhaligon’s of London. We created a range of mini-postcards which explained the Victorian ‘Language of Flowers’. For example, did you know that the giving of Gardenias signifies a ‘secret love’? Check out the full range below.

Driving Jarvis Ham

Frank recently contributed a photograph of a greasy spoon to the cover of the new novel by Jim Bob, former singer with 90s crust-punk indie crossover act Carter the Unstoppable Sex machine. The book is published by The Friday Project, an experimental imprint of Harper Collins (Design and typography by Iambeak). Pick up a copy here or check out more ‘greasy spoon’ pics here.

L.E. > J.O.G.

Frank legend Nigel is currently on a cycling trip from the very bottom to the very top of this British island or ‘LEJOG’ as it’s popularly known. Apart from one catastrophic mechanical failure, they are doing pretty well and spent last night in Worcester. You can follow his progress or find details of how to donate to his chosen charity here. You can also follow his occasional progress updates on Twitter @noproblemnigel

Another fantastically packaged gift arrived at Frank Towers this morning all the way from far flung Australia. Yes it’s the eagerly awaited YOU NEVER REGRET A SWIM artwork, handmade by progressive artist, average swimmer, lazy surfer and retired skater and friend of Frank, Oliver Goodfellow. As you can see, Salvador (the Frank rubber lobster) obviously approves of the nautical theme. Cheers Ol!

We’ve designed and built a new website for Film/TV/Commercial production company Mustard. The site showcases the work of both UK and US Mustard directors, and utilises HTML 5 video in the animated intro sequence (produced in collaboration with Frank friends Atticus Finch). Mustard are based in London’s Soho but reside on the top level of a multi-storey car park, hence the theme!
